As the driving force behind Reflo Company Ltd’s corporate social responsibility efforts, Ms. Rebecca Osam continues to lead transformative initiatives that create lasting change. One of her standout collaborations is with The Florence Mensah Foundation, where together they celebrated the completion of the “1000 Girls” project in Keta Kedzi. This groundbreaking project tackled period poverty head-on by providing 300 girls with a reliable, year-round supply of Reflo’s sanitary pads, ensuring they could remain in school and focus on their education.
Building on an earlier six-month distribution, this second visit delivered another six months of essential sanitary products, further solidifying the project’s impact. The initiative went beyond material support by dispelling menstrual stigma and providing critical health education. A celebratory event brought together community leaders, educators, parents and beneficiaries, who all joined in recognising the program’s successes.
At the event, Ms. Rebecca personally expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported the initiative, including Springfield Ltd, foundation staff, and generous donors. “To our girls here in Keta, I want you to know that you are capable, outstanding and can achieve greatness. Your menstrual cycle is a symbol of your strength and womanhood, and it should never hold you back. Embrace it with pride and let it remind you of your incredible potential,” she shared. Encouraged by her leadership, Togbi Joachim Acolatsey V called on other organisations to follow this inspiring example, while beneficiaries voiced their deep appreciation for the assistance they received.
