Ms. Rebecca Osam, CEO of Reflo Company Ltd, took the lead in a press conference aimed at addressing period poverty in Ghana. At the press conference, Ms. Rebecca emphasised the pivotal role of Reflo Company Ltd in collaborating with The Florence Mensah Foundation to empower women and young girls, particularly in combating period poverty.

The Florence Mensah Foundation focuses on promoting gender equality and eliminating discrimination against women in Ghana. Teaming up with Reflo Company Ltd, the foundation actively engages in initiatives to enhance menstrual hygiene and health among underprivileged women in marginalised communities.

During the conference, Ms. Rebecca Osam highlighted their latest initiative, “Helping a 1000 Girls Embrace Their Flow,” scheduled to launch on March 15, 2024, at the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Accra, Ghana. This event, she emphasised, aims to raise awareness about period poverty and mobilise funds to provide sanitary pads to 1000 impoverished young girls across Ghana for an entire year.

Anita Akuffo, Michy Diamond, brand ambassadors of Reflo Company Ltd were present and also appealed to the public to help raise funds to support the cause.

Ms. Rebecca Osam urged individuals and organisations to join their efforts in making a tangible impact on the lives of these vulnerable girls. She emphasised the importance of collective action in building a more equitable and inclusive society for all.
